nightshade

a chill gardener dude who loves on his own in a cabin in the woods. he came into town with only a satchel of things, and refuses to reveal where he came from. after the day it first showed up however, no one has asked it this, which he is thankful for.

it works as a gardener for the occupents of the town he lives in. he tends to many other ponies gardens, including its own, as well as the forest it lives in. it works when it wants, and does all he can to help its clients achieve the garden they dream of. his cutie mark represents not only a love of fungi and plants, but a natural talent for working with them, too.

his cabin is small, yet cosy and warm, and is nestled in a thick and misty forest. he has a large greenhouse attached to his house, where all his plants live. on his days off he likes to relax in sunning spots in the forest and occasionally doze off in them, and tend to his house and his pets.

it is unbothered by the mundanity of his life, as he doesn't see his life as boring in the slightest. he likes its simple life despite what others may think of it. he's a simple lad with a simple life, and likes it that way.

personality

nightshade is a very relaxed fellow and is not bothered by many things. it's very hard to annoy him, as his paitence has been tested time and time again by its plants. it is creative and clever, and loves to learn new things, and often spends extensive time researching topics that will be of no use to it whatsoever, but does it anyway because it's fun. it is also very creative and excels in making flower arrangements, as well as many other types of art. he loves deep meanings and loves to make everything have second or third meanings to it, and loves anything that is 'existential' in some way or has deeper meanings.

while nightshade excels in intelligence in a variety of topics, it lacks in social awareness and generel social and communication skills. he has a terrible time talking to other ponies, especially those who are not its clients or don't plan to be its clients. it is bad at reading the room and reading facial expressions, as well as a multitude of other things to do with communication. most ponies don't mind this however, and enjoy his company anyway, but there are a few who have described it as 'off-putting'.
