omen

omen is a mysterious, cryptid-like cat. he is both dead and alive, and wanders the world late at night. few have seen bug, but those who have have reported seeing a trail of black goop follow in its footsteps. most aren't even able to tell whether voids truly a cat or not.

he is what's known as a mythical cat, those who have higher powers and are on a higher level of existence then mortal cats, and typically guard, protect, serve, or embody certain things. they help maintain balance in the world of cats, and omen is one of the few to have been gifted this title.

personality

omen is not the most pleasant cat to be around. it is not evil by any means, but it is mischievous and knows almost no boundaries. this isn't much of a problem however, since omen really only interacts with lost souls, and not living cats.

omen is cocky and praises himself to no end, bug likes its looks and itself a lot. it doesn't stand well against others' criticism and other cats in general, and usually cannot stand to be around them for longer than a few minutes. voi is very asocial and blunt.

among that, omen is wild and erratic, and likes to have as much fun as voi can given his position. void enjoys messing with the living cats and confusing them, all while challenging itself to never be seen. although it has failed a few times, he has mostly succeeded in becoming a myth among the living - a mystery no one can solve.

powers

poison plant growth

...growing poisonous plants at an excellerated rate and using them to poison your foes.

one of omen's favourite abilities. while it can use the plants to make voidself poisonous and attack others, or directly poison them, he often uses it simply because bug likes poisonous plants, and thinks they're pretty.

wither & wilt

...the ability to wither and decay anything around him. doesn't work on living things.

likes to use it to attract patches of fungi in the living world. other than that, however, it's not particularly useful, or something omen likes to use either.

living bones

...controlling the bones of deceased living things. either can be used to make the form of a thing (cat bones forming cat skeleton, badger bones forming a badger skeleton, etc etc), or be used as individual weapons. he can control them with his mind and make them float and attack others.

omen's most powerful attack, but also one it doesn't particularly like using. bug only really uses it to scare living cats, but if absolutely necessary, is very good at using it to attack others. it also sometimes uses the ability to warn living cats of any dangerous areas in the living world, or to ward them off if they accidently stumble into Decay's Domain.

mushroom growth

...the ability to grow mushrooms wherever and whenever, and whatever size or even colour he wants.

omen's favourite power of its. it's not particularly useful in fights, unless you're growing a big mushroom to hide on top of, but omen doesn't care. voi uses the power to pretty up voids domain, and often uses it absent-mindedly when bug walks, resulting in a trail of mushrooms wherever he goes - which includes the living world.

trivia

• he has a cryptid name - 'the marsh cat' - since it always looks like he's dripping with sludge and mud from the marshlands.
• bug can interact with the living and has done in the past many times.
• much about its history and how voi became a spirit is unknown.
